Northampton Skin Clinic Founder is Making Headlines For Preaching About The Importance of Skin Health

Larissa Warren, founder of The Expert Skin Clinic, has recently been featured in the Northampton Chronicle & Echo as she has been championing the importance of skin health, following her own cancer diagnosis and treatment.

Larissa is passionate about the role she can play as a cosmetic practitioner to identify potential cancers. Although she can not diagnose, she works closely with consultants to screen lesions which may need further attention from medical professionals.

An important part of Larissa’s work is the ‘Map My Mole’ service offered at The Expert Skin Clinic. This service was introduced in October 2024 following Larissa’s own experience with skin cancer. Since its introduction, Larissa has found deadly cancers in numerous patients, saving lives as a result.

Map My Mole is a service which allows Larissa to gain access to dermatologists in order to confidently identify any blemishes or lesions. The service allows her to upload images of the blemishes and lesions which concern her. These images will then be reviewed by a dermatologist who will then proceed to provide a confirmation of the blemish within 2-48 hours. This provides clients with a confirmed diagnosis which then leads to the correct course of treatment being applied.

Although The Expert Skin Clinic primarily provides blemish treatment for facial lesions, Larissa finds it important to offer to check the skin of clients across their bodies. This is because she realised she was missing a lot of cancers previously by not offering her expertise.

Following its success, The Expert Skin Clinic has chosen to continue their work with skin lesion screening through Map My Mole into 2026. The service is proving time and time again why it is successful as The Expert Skin Clinic has recently identified a case of melanoma through the help of dermatologists on Map My Mole.. Larissa’s work continues to highlight how vital early detection of skin cancer really is.

Alongside their partnership with Map My Mole, The Expert Skin Clinic also works alongside Skcin, The Karen Clifford Melanoma & Skin Cancer Charity. The clinic also won ‘Best Skincare Clinic’ in the Midlands at the 2026 Prestige Awards. More recently, Larissa has been appointed as a Key Opinion Leader (KOL) for CACI International with the launch of their new medical-led skin health device, Rejuva-Med, at the clinic.

Unfortunately, Larissa has seen an increase in people self-treating their skin defects, which is extremely dangerous, especially when it involves suspected skin cancer. Larissa wants to reinforce the importance of getting concerning blemishes and lesions checked professionally. She further emphasises the importance of checking any concerns early.
